There's a spot in NYC's Meatpacking District that pumps house music until the hours just before dawn on a night in the middle of the work week. After spending one evening there dancing until we couldn't stand anymore, me losing a shoe, hopping in a cab and turning back longing for more, Fab and I decided that this must be the happiest place on earth.
It's parties like this that I crave, and I know there are others who feel the same. Going somewhere with no pretentiousness where everyone's there just for the music and the good times. For me it's about neglecting my inhibitions not caring how well I'm dancing while pulling an entire routine out of my back pocket when one of my favorites comes on. Sometimes I catch comments from those who come from another generation claiming that "you kids don't dance anymore". Yeah we do, get over yourself.
With Volume 7 we came to show you that the love of dance ain't over. Timeless music with house undertones infused with jazz ain't dead. And we haven't stopped dancing well past midnight to music that makes you feel good and simply grateful to be alive. Press play. Loose yourself. Feel the vibe.
